Travel made easy with EZ Maps
Exploring the country’s gorgeous hideaways had just become nice and easy with the recent launch of the Philippine Travel Atlas (PTA) Third Edition and the 2010 series of EZ Maps.
Published by leading mapmaker United Tourist Promotions (UTP), the PTA has the most comprehensive information on the country’s 16 regions contained in 188 detailed maps. It also has 27,000 entries on provinces, cities, towns, streets, landmarks, tourist attractions and points of interest.
Printed in 360 full-color glossy pages, the PTA contains road conditions, user-friendly grid coordinates, GPS-enabled road data, accurate air distance chart, and sea routes.
“The Philippine Travel Atlas is an ideal guide for foreign and domestic tourists, motorists, or anyone who wants to navigate the country’s road network with ease. It is also a reliable travel companion designed to help you plan your travels,” says UTP publisher Ariel Jersey, a 2007 Go Negosyo Most Inspiring Tourism Entrepreneur Awardee.
UTP has also released the latest editions of handy brochure maps of Baguio, Cebu, Palawan, Panay, Pangasinan, Boracay, Central Luzon and Subic Bay-Olongapo with text by travel writer Bernard Supetran.
The 2010 edition maps also feature partner hotels such as Subic Lighthouse, Days Hotel Mactan, Bohol Beach Club, El Puerto Marina, Hotel Fleuris, Sarabia Manor Hotel, Boracay Beach Club, Holiday Inn Clark, Island Cove and Hotel La Corona Lipa, as well as leading travel agents Island Paradise Tours & Convention, Pentravel and Tours, and Travel Village.
Also soon off the press in time for summer are the Cavite, Bohol, Laguna and Batangas provincial tourist maps.
Jersey added that the maps are unique combination of road maps and travel guides aimed at promoting domestic tourism. They also contain contact details of Department of Tourism (DoT) regional offices.
A winner of the Best Internet Website of the US-based International Map Trade Association, UTP has been commissioned by the DoT to produce maps of key destinations for local tourists, as well as specialty maps for the foreign market
The maps are available at National Bookstore, Powerbooks and Fully Booked branches, and 850 outlets nationwide. Visit www.ezmaps.ph for details.
